2024-2025 TUITION OVERVIEW
Typically, tuition increases between 3-7% each year. Tuition is paid over a 10 month period. Days enrolled is based on your child's age plus 1 — e.g., two-year-olds can attend up to three days per week. Three-year-olds can attend up to four days per week. |
Parent responsibilities.
The co-op model keeps our tuition costs low and allows parents to be deeply involved in their child’s preschool experience.
It is, however, a large commitment and requires a significant investment of time and energy from each member family.

Workday
One parent per family works one day each week as a parent-teacher at the school from 8:30am to 12:30pm, or until clean up is complete. Your workday will be the same day every week.
|
Emergency Substitute Days
In order to cover for emergency absences, each family is required to sign up for eight (8) “e-sub” (emergency substitute) days per school year. On that day, you are only required to be available for an emergency call-in until 9:15 am.
|
Weekly Job
Each family is assigned a job at the school that requires about an hour of work each week. Most weekly jobs can be done any time the school is not in session.
|
Committees
Each family must serve on one of five committees at the school: fundraising, curriculum, maintenance, membership or finance. Committee work requires about 2 hours of work per month.
|
Work Parties
Maintenance at the school is the responsibility of the membership. To keep the school in good repair, work parties are scheduled on several weekends throughout the school year, and each family is required to complete 10 maintenance hours per year.
|
Membership Meetings
Membership meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Families are required to attend 9 of the 11 monthly membership meetings that include parent education and co-op business. We are committed to bringing awareness to topics such as race, gender, ages and stages, temperament, and positive discipline.
|
Fundraisers
Peter Pan holds a number of fundraisers throughout the year, including Holiday Auction Party, Raffle, and Friends + Family Donation Drive. Each family must participate in all fundraisers throughout the year.

02 Open House (optional) |
You are welcome to attend our annual open house on February 1, 2025 from 10:00-12:00pm for an informal morning of questions, answers, and a tour of our building and grounds. |
03 School Tour |
See us in action! Families are required to attend a tour during school hours before applying to the school. We’ll be hosting several school tours in February. All tours are from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m., and the tours are for parents only—no kids, please. Our space is limited, and we do sometimes have to turn away those who come in a group without registering beforehand. |
04 Request an Application |
After completing a tour, if you’re still interested in our school, we ask that you follow up with Membership ([email protected]), to receive an application and an invitation to attend our Family Play Date. The application is due March 5, 2025 at 4:00pm |
05 Family Play Date |
Let us meet your family! You and your child or children will spend some time with a few other families so we can get to know each other a little better. The play date will be held March 8, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm. |
06 Admission / Waitlist Notice |
In March we notify all interested families with either an Admission Invitation or a notice of your place on our waitlist. |
07 Observation Days |
If you are given an Admission Invitation, you will schedule 1 observation day when you and your child will come to school, so we can all play together and make sure that Peter Pan is the right fit for you and your family. |
08 Registration |
After your first observation day, you’ll submit your $100 non-refundable deposit, non-refundable first month’s tuition, and registration paperwork. |
09 Congratulations! |
You are a member of Peter Pan! After completing your observation days and submitting your paperwork, deposit, and tuition, you’ll be informed of your admission to the school. You will be sent an summer orientation packet by the middle of August, including state-mandated health forms (you’ll be asked to take a TB test, to complete a health screening with your doctor, and to provide proof of immunization for both yourself and your child) and emergency contact forms. |
